Manuel K. ‘Joe” Weaver, age 57, of Mount Gilead and formerly of Worthington, passed away at his home Thursday morning, September 26, 2019.

On December 23, 1961, Joe was born in Columbus, Ohio, one of 10 children of the late Manuel D. Weaver and Ella Mae Siders.

On April 12, 2001, Joe took a trip to Las Vegas and married the love of his life, Juanita Mae Smith.  They let their family know after they got back.  They lovingly shared the last 18 years together as husband and wife.

For the last 26 years, Joe worked as a winder for National Electric Coil/Rail Products International in Columbus. He was a member of the Eagles Linden Fraternal Order Aerie 2252 in Columbus.

In Joe’s spare time, he loved playing poker, fishing, and working on his yard.  He was very meticulous about his landscaping and enjoyed helping others with their yards also.  Every Sunday during football season, you could find him cheering on his Cleveland Browns.  He also enjoyed watching Gold Rush and WWE Wrestling.

Joe was a good man who loved being with his family and helping them out.  He was an extremely funny man and loved telling jokes.

Joe will be dearly missed by his wife, Juanita, of Mount Gilead; eight children: Dustin Weaver, Stephanie Weaver, Genoa Weaver, Sherry Thompson all of Columbus, Dawn (Shannon) Humphrey of Morrow County, Stacy Blake of Columbus, Tracy (Terry) Breedlove of Columbus, Chris (Erin) Blake of Chesterville; 22 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; three brothers: David, Larry, Toad; four sisters: Candy, Violet, Nancy, Norma; his dear friends, Bonnie and Stan Geisler of Columbus; and his beloved pets: dog, Gizmo and cat, Kitty.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Lola and Ruth.
