Lucille Rose (Reinhard) Davis, age 88, of Aurora, Colorado and formerly of Delaware passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2013.
Lucille was born on August 22, 1924, in Delaware, Ohio to Martin J. and Elsie Reinhard. Lucille spent 79 of her 88 years in Delaware. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1942 and was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She married Charles W. “Jeff” Davis in 1948. She was a member of the Delaware Child Study League and took great pride in Delaware and the Little Brown Jug. Lucille retired from Delaware County January 1, 1997.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Jeff), in 1967; daughter, Susan Weber, in 2009; and sister, Virginia Russell.
Lucille is survived by her son Michael (Candy) Davis of Centennial, Colorado; son-in-law, Ned Weber of Springfield, Ohio; 5 grandchildren: Matt Weber and Mark (Danielle) Weber of Springfield, Ohio; Michelle (Landon) Capdeville and Kelli (Homer) Hall of Denver, Colorado; Karen (James) Payne of Cypress, Texas; and two great-grandchildren: Abigail Payne and Max Capdeville.
Friends may call Wednesday, February 27, 2013, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. in Delaware, where funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. James Black officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
