Lois A Dickerson, age 61, of Fredericktown passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her residence.

She was born on February 5, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to James and Margaret (Dawson) Scammell. Lois was a 78’ graduate of Fredericktown High School And later went to Southeastern Academy for Airline training. She was employed at the Knox County citizen, Rite Aid, Walmart, Harts, and Dollar General to name a few. She enjoyed being outside in the warmer weather soaking up the sweet summer sun. She also enjoys spending time with her canine companions Roxy and Jasper and her feline companion Billy. But most of all, Lois loved to spend time with her grandchildren and son’s.

She is survived by her mother Margaret Scammell; Her three sons, Jason Dickerson, Jeff (Nicki) Dickerson, Brian (Sierra) Dickerson; five grandchildren, Destinee, Carter, C.J., Ava, Trace; and her special cousins Melissa Cabbell and Gary Dawson who she considered her sister and brother.

Lois Received her wings and now she is flying high above us with her husband JR Dickerson. her Dad James Scammell and her grandparents.

In keeping with Lois‘ wishes, there will be no calling hours at this time. The family will observe a private service at a later date.

Lois and I palled around in high school in physical education and were always sitting close by in Homeroom or anytime we were in alphabetical order. It is too soon to have to say goodbye to your mom. We never would if we could keep them forever.
