Linnie I. Wren, age 83, of Edison, died on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at OSU Medical Center following an extended illness.

Linnie was born in Meigs County, Ohio on August 19, 1923, the daughter of Fred and Bertha Tatman VanMeter.

She was preceded in death by Harold W. Wren, her beloved husband of 47 years in 1987.

Linnie was a member of the Jehoveh’s Witnesses at the Kingdom Hall in Galion.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons: Al (Patricia) Wren, of Edison, Chris (Clara) Wren of Hillsboro, and Roger (Nancy) Wren of Mount Gilead; a daughter: Jenny Wren of Edison; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; four step sons: Bob (Susan) Wren of North Bend, Oregon, Bill (Gloria) Wren of Allen Park, Michigan, Ron Wren of Delray Beach, Florida, and Jan (Joyce) Wren of Ocala, Florida; one brother: Warren (Charlotte) VanMeter of Meigs County, Ohio, and a sister-in-law, Carol VanMeter, of Bucyrus, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Linnie was preceded in death by three brothers: Harvey, Wilson, and Charles VanMeter; and one sister: Irene Bowers.

The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 S. Main St., Mt. Gilead, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Joseph Green, Elder of the Kingdom Hall of Jehoveh’s Witnesses of Galion, Ohio officiating. Burial will follow in North Canaan Township Cemetery.
