Linda Lee (Snyder) Williams passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2021 at her home in Sarasota, FL. Linda was born in Marion, OH on August 12, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Walter Snyder and Louise Obenour Snyder. Linda was united in marriage with Vaughn Williams on June 16, 1962 in Marion.

Linda graduated from Harding High School in 1958 and subsequently attended the Akron City Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated in 1961 with a Diploma in Nursing. She later completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Franklin University and earned a Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University in 1990. She worked as a professor of nursing at Marion Technical College for 32 years.  She was previously employed by Marion General Hospital and Jane Francis Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honorary, The Ohio Council of Associate Degree Nursing Education Administrations, the National League for Nursing, the Akron City Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association, and The Ohio State University Alumnae Association. Throughout her professional life, she was active in the Marion community as a member of the Marion General Hospital Board of Trustees, the Tri-Rivers School of Practical Nursing Advisory Board, the Marion General Home Health Advisory Board, and Emanuel Lutheran Church.

During retirement, she and Vaughn moved to Sarasota, FL where they thoroughly enjoyed their new friends and familiar snowbird friends as well as the arts in their community. Linda was an active member of Living Lord Lutheran Church, participating in bible study and volunteering her nursing skills. Her most cherished memories were made with her children and grandchildren at Disneyworld and during holidays and shared vacations. Seeing her grandchildren perform and engage in school activities was the highlight of her life. Linda absolutely loved her lifelong friends and colleagues whom she treasured dearly.

Linda is survived by her husband of 59 years, Vaughn, her brother, Stephen (Kim) Snyder, her daughter Laura (Jon) Eckhardt, and grandchildren Beverly Williams and Max Eckhardt. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ryan Williams.

A graveside service will be held at the Marion Cemetery on Saturday, September 18th at 10:00am with Pastor Mark Schuring officiating. A celebration of life will be held in Florida on October 16th at 1:00pm at Living Lord Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Living Lord Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1107 Palmbrush Trail Bradenton, FL or Emanuel Lutheran Church (Marion, OH) Good Samaritan Fund.
