Linda Beasley

January 29, 1949 ‒ October 19, 2015

Mansfield, Ohio

MANSFIELD: Linda Beasley’s grandchildren never cried or fussed, slept on schedule, are practically genius, perfect in most every way, and she had been known to share that information – frequently. Yes, Linda was proud of her family, she couldn’t stop talking about them.

She would only be stilled as the Lord called her to himself Monday morning October 19, 2015 from her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 66.

Born January 29, 1949, the daughter of Eugene and Elsie (Malone) Elliott, Linda was graduated from Malabar High School in 1967.  For over 20 years Linda worked for Tyco Electronics.

Linda loved tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.  A talented seamstress, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing.

A member of Mansfield Stewart Road Church of God, Linda was a scholar of the Bible, and her faith was an integral part of her life. She was loving and kind, fun yet stubborn, and blessed with a great sense of humor (a heart-touching giggle) and ability to cook that communicated her love through a simple cheesecake.

She is survived by her daughters Tina (Steve) Dion of Bellville and Christy Holsinger of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Hannah and Maddison Dion and Dylan Holsinger; her mother Elsie Elliott of Mansfield; siblings Carl (Fran) Pierce of Shelby, Charles Elliott, twin sister Lora Elliott of Mansfield, Ron (Jan) Elliott of Ashland; uncle Frank (Dorothy) Elliott of Wooster; dear cousin Darlene Lee; and close friends Rosie Webb, Doug Williams and Hannah Simmer.

She was preceded in death by her father Eugene Elliott.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm in Mansfield Stewart Road Church of God, 1425 Stewart Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44903, where funeral services celebrating Linda’s life will be Thursday at 11 am. Pastor Samuel Wright will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery. The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.

Contributions in her memory to Stewart Road Church of God may be made at the funeral.
