Lester Seville, Jr. age 73 of Newark died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at his home after a January lung cancer diagnosis.

He was born February 13, 1945 at home on the family farm in Johnstown, Ohio the son of the late Lester Sr. and Evelyn (Blagg) Seville.

Lester attended Northridge High School and work for over 45 years for Snyder Muffler Shop doing exhaust work until his retirement.

He married Lenora M. Compton on November 1, 1977 in Grundy, Virginia.  They were married for 35 years until her death in 2012.

Lester loved the Cincinnati Red, Ohio State sports, and watching old movies.  Most important, was time spent with his grandchildren.

He will be missed by his children Bradley of Gahanna and Lester III (Heather Jones) of Newark and Ruth Seville of Mount Vernon; grandchildren: McKayla and Tristan Stepleton, Emily McAlpine, Paige Colley, Seth Michael and Austin Lee Seville, and Angel and Alexandar Hurst; siblings Charlie Seville and Pamala (Tom) Piper of Johnstown; and his Aunt Rosemary Wigle of Johnstown.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by siblings John Walter Seville, Janice Payne, and Ruth Seville.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11 AM at Sunbury Memorial Park.
