Leotus Evon “Tootie” Piatt, 83, of Delaware passed away early Thursday morning January 24, 2013 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.

She was born November 26, 1929 in LaRue, Ohio to Emmert Earl and Emiline (Philipi) Stoner.

She graduated from Radnor High School and on October 3, 1951 married the love of her life Jackie Edward Piatt. Tootie enjoyed walking and taking care of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids and watching them all grow up.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Jackie; son, Reggie (Charlotte) Piatt of Delaware; daughter, Yvonna D. (John) Ott of Delaware; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brother, Fred (Eileen) Stoner of Manchester, Tennessee; sisters, Audine Wheeler of Arlington, Texas, Marlene (Don) Lockwood of Delaware, and Parmalee (Gene) Berringer of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Clarence, Earl “EJ”, Elmer, and John Stoner and 3 sisters Airatta Kincaid, Pauline Stoner, and Nathalia Haines.

The family will receive friends on Sunday January 27th from 5 – 8 pm at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Monday January 28th at 10:30 am with her brother-in-law Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery.
