Lakey Mae Wright, 80, formerly of 451 W. Railroad Street, Galion, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Village Care Center in Galion after a lengthy illness.

Born February 19, 1925 in Parkersburg, W. Va., she was the daughter of the late Howard Malcom Hendricks and Mary Grace Barnhouse Hendricks. She was preceded in death in 1987 by her husband, Gilbert Wright whom she married in 1959 and she was previously married to Nolan Bair whom she married in 1946.

She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galion; American Legion Scarbrough Post #243, VFW Post #4329, Eagles Aerie #630 Auxiliaries and Women of the Moose Chapter #177 all in Galion. She worked at the former Stratbury Manufacturing, Ohio Overcoat and GTE Telephone Co.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Howard and Kathy Bair of Shelby, Delbert and Doris Bair of Mansfield; two daughters-in-law, Martha Bair of Galion and Diane Bair of Mansfield; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three sisters: Maxine Noe and Grace Carbula both of Marion and Darlene Lewis of Mt. Gilead.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Russell and Robert Bair and two brothers Tom and Joe Hendricks.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Very Reverend Michael Schelling Pastor/Dean officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
