Kensel A. Ault
February 20, 1918 ‒ June 13, 2003
Kensel A. Ault, age 85, of Galion, passed away Friday, June 13, 2003 at the Galion Community Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born February 20, 1918, in Fredericktown, OH the son of the late Virgil and Bertha (Kunze) Ault and had been a resident of the Knox and Morrow County areas all of his life. He retired from General Motors as a crane operator, was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church, formed the Mounted Deputy Unit in Morrow County, and was a member of both the V.F.W. post 4329 and Amvets Post 1979 in Galion. Kensel was also involved in Draft Horses.
He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Nancy (Neer) Ault, whom he married November 23, 1996, 4 sons; Gerald (Cindy) Ault of Shelby, Paul (Jan) Ault, Dale (Susan) Ault, and Steven (Bee Jay) Ault all of Mt. Gilead, 2 daughters; Beverly Wansor of Mt. Gilead, and Vickie (Edward) West of Galion, a step-daughter Amy (Mark) Bardo of Ft. Thomas, KY, a step-son Brian (Jane) Evans of Shelby, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Wanita Divelbliss of Fredericktown and Lucille Pfaff of Washington Courthouse.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel L. Ault, a son Bill Ault, a brother Donald Ault, a sister Janice Miller and a granddaughter Ginger Ault.
Friends may call Monday, June 16, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Mt. Gilead, where Pastor Brent Miller will conduct funeral services Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
