Kendall Wayne Hardy

Kendall Wayne Hardy, age 56, left this home with heavens wings to hear the angels sing on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Grant Medical Center following a courageous battle with lung cancer.  Kendall was a vary talented musician and songwriter.  He formed the Kendall Wayne Band and recorded a CD.  Born November 15, 1963 in Columbus to Thelma (Houck) Hardy who survives and the late Kenneth Mack Hardy.  He is also preceded in death by sister, Kathleen Lynn Hardy-Gray; brother and sister-in-law, Billy  and Sandy  Hardy; grandparents, Clark M. and Inez (Lewis) Houck, Ike and Cora (Baise) Hardy.  Kendall is survived by son, Kendall Wayne Hardy, Jr.; sisters, Kenna Kae Hardy-Wallace, Karen Elaine Hardy and Debbie Gayle; brothers, Keith Allen (Debbie) Hardy, Kenneth Gregory (Sherry) Hardy; also survived by 3 nieces, 5 nephews and 11 great-nieces and nephews.  A Celebration of Life event honoring Kendall will be held at a later date.  The DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hardy family.  Please share a memory or condolence for the family on this website.

  • Very tough when you lose someone close. 95% of our lives are happy and 5% is not. You are going through that 5%. Depression and sadness are a minute to minute occurrence then hour to hour then week to week….Things will be better. You have a brother and memories which will never be taken away. Celebrate his life. I ask you do 3 things a day. Laugh, think, and have your emotions move to tears. That is a full day. Cancer might have taken away some of his abilities but thanks to your family his mind was at peace when he moved to his next calling. God bless.
