Kathleen “Kathy” Mary Wilhelm, 77 of Richwood, and formerly of Delaware passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Grady Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

Born May 10, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of the late Sylvester & Margaret (Rogers) Brown. Kathy graduated from Central Catholic High School in Toledo in 1961. She was a member of the Toledo Council of Catholic Young Adults, where she took a trip to New York, and found the love of her life James Wilhelm. She believed that God took her to New York, to meet the man that lived just up the street from her. Jim and Kathy’s were married May 1th 1965.

Kathy worked as a bank teller for First Federal in Toledo, Ohio. Kathy and James eventually made their way down to Delaware, where Jim started his company, ABC Seamless siding, where Kathy worked and helped out. Kathy was a devout catholic, and was a member and attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Delaware, Ohio, She also volunteered at the Delaware Senior Center.

Left to cherish her memory are Husband of 55 years Jim; children Tina (Darren) Shelcusky and Diane (Eric) Sapp; 9 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren; brother William Brown; sister Margaret Brown.

She was preceded in death by still-born son Herbert Sylvester Wilhelm, brother Michael Brown

Kathy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She enjoyed making jewelry, cross stitching, and reading books. She was also an avid crafter. Her family and those close to her will remember her as the Faith-filled, inspirational, loving, and sometimes ornery Wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother that she was.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church 82 East William Street, Delaware Ohio. Family and Friends may join the family prior to the 1:00 pm mass at Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center , 101 Valleyside Drive from 11:00 until 12:30 pm . Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
