  • Mark, Maria and Shannon,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families during this very difficult time. I have so many fond memories of your mother. I can picture her in the kitchen in Mt. Gilead, drinking coffee and working on the daily crossword puzzle from the newspaper. She loved a fresh snowfall and did her best to keep it perfect despite living next to the school. I remember her plant and cactus collection. I remember the cakes she would make for the kiddos that called her Mom-o. I admired, respected and loved her like my own mother. She was always there for me when I needed advice, an opinion or guidance in some way. She took me under her wing when I was so far away from my own family and I am forever thankful for that. She was tough as nails, but had a heart of gold. May God bless you all and help you find peace and comfort.

    • Annique, Thank you so much. If you watch the video I am sure you will recognize a few of the pictures. She was always happy to hear from you, and she will be dearly missed.

  • Dear Cousins

We were saddened to hear of the loss of your mom this past week.
As Marielaina has said, losing a parent is a heartbreak and we can only know how that feels when it happens to us personally.
We also miss our parents dearly as you can imagine.
With the support of your friends, church, neighbors, family, you will go on. Take what they bequeathed to you into your hearts as you move forward!
The Leary’s are an endearing tribe! God Bless!
