Joyce Ann Swint, age 69, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 24, 1948 in Pickaway County, Ohio the daughter of William and Frances (Shimp) Bolton Sr.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years Lewis C. Swint Sr.; two sons, David (Cathy Huffman) Swint of Mount Gilead and Lewis C. (Nancy Baker) Swint Jr. of Utica; two daughters, Nancy (Dennis) Brocklesby of Mount Gilead and Frances (Mark) Graham of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, William Bolton Jr. of Fredericktown, Joe (Kathy) Bolton of Fredericktown and John (Kathy) Bolton of Mount Gilead; four sisters, Mary (Ken) Rickett of Florida, Shirley (David) Haller of Evansville, Indiana, Betty Walls of Hamlet, North Carolina, Barb (William) Grubaugh of Fredericktown and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson Scott Brocklesby.

The family will observe a Celebration of Life service at the family home on May 19, 2018 beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be held in Marengo Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Joyce’s name may be made to the Knox County Relay for Life.

Joyce was a very special person in my life n I wish I had stayed in contact with her n Lewis Sr. She will b greatly missed , a very loving n giving woman , always had her arms opened wide for everyone she met , she took them in as part of her family n always gave anything she could give to anyone that was in need ! This is what I remember most about her !! RIP Joyce aka mom, this world has lost a beautiful soul , God bless you all through this terrible time !! 💜🙏

  • My Condolences to the entire family. I met Joyce when I was 9 yrs old. I became very close to the girls. Betty had become my best friend. Joyce was always quite and so nice. I haven’t seen Joyce for a very long time, so in my memory she will always be the young woman to me. Kind sweet and so pretty. RIP Joyce. I’m know you are going to be so missed. God Bless you all.
