John W. Bentley, 68, of Fredericktown died Saturday evening, November 5, 2016 near Fredericktown. He was born December 18, 1947 in Oakland, CA to the late Stanley and Pauline (Moore) Bentley.

John was a retired welder for FMC in San Jose, CA.  He enjoyed playing the guitar and his greatest passion was spending time with his grandkids.  John attended the Citi Church in Bellville.

John is survived by his children, John A. (Maddisen) Bentley of Fredericktown, Garrett Bentley of Delaware and Danielle Perez of Hillmar, CA; his grandchildren, Carrissa, Levi, Cambrie and Shaylin;  his step mother, Helen Bentley;  brothers, Mike Bentley and Travis Bentley; sisters, Freda Barnhart and Sonya Harper; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of a memorial service celebrating the life of John at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Snyder Funeral Home, 33 East College St., Fredericktown with Pastor Gus Peter officiating.   A private burial will take place in California at a later date.
