John M. Sautter, 79 of Galion passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his home.

He was born August 5, 1936 in Galion and was the son of William J. and Mabel P. (Smith) Sautter.

John graduated from Galion High School in 1954. He and his brother Tom farmed and also owned and operated Sautter Brothers Machine and Fabricating.

John is survived by his brother Thomas E. Sautter of Galion and numerous cousins and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Home, 218 South Market St. Galion with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral on Tuesday starting at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
