John Camealy, 87, passed away 7, December 2017.

John was a much loved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He served 22 years in the Air Force, with tours in Greenland, France, and Libya as well as across the United States.

After he retired from the Air Force he was a professor at Xavier University, then, with his wife Lois, who predeceased him last year, spent his retirement years on his small farm north of Columbus.  John and Lois loved to travel in their motorhome, carrying on the tradition of travel that began with cross-country family vacations as part of transfers between Air Force stations.

John is survived by his children Craig and wife Marion, Bruce and wife Jill, and Debbie.  He was blessed with six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 2:00-3:00 pm at the Sunbury United Methodist Church, 100 W. Cherry Street, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. A Celebration of life service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Mike Mack officiating.  Inurnment with full military honors will follow at Sunbury Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Sunbury United Methodist Church.
