Jessie C. Bagley, age 91 of Delaware died Saturday evening, August 5, 2006 at Arbors of Hilliard.

She was born on September 7, 1914 in Garrettsville, Ohio to the late Jess and Zetta (Burgett) Clymer. A graduate of Orange High School in 1932, she went on to receive her bachelor degree in education from Bowling Green State University. Jessie was a resident of Delaware County for over 60 years, living mainly in Orange and Berlin Townships. A lifelong educator, she was both a teacher and principal of the Berlin School and had also taught for Orange Township.

A member of the former Africa Wesleyan Church, she enjoyed reading fiction mysteries, traveling, working crossword puzzles, and bingo. A musician at heart, she played both the piano and organ. Described as a good teacher, she was very proud of those accomplishments and the successes of her students. She will be remembered for her easy going nature and gentle heart.

Survived by son: Steve (Christine) Bagley of Galloway, Sisters: Agnes Myers of Columbus, and Roberta (Harlan) Showers of Galena.

Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: Edgar ‘Ted” Bagley in 1997, Brother Oscar Clymer and Sister Mary Gooding.

Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware, where funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Walter Jeffries officiating. Interment will follow in Africa Cemetery.
