Jessica “Jinx” I. Schrader passed away peacefully Monday, September 13, 2021, in LifeCare Hospice, Wooster. She was 73.

She was born on July 25, 1948, to parents Richard & Rosemary (Coble) Mosthaf in Ashland, Ohio. After Jessica graduated from Ashland High School with the class of 1966, she married Douglas E. Schrader on September 14, 1969, and they were married for 51 years.

Jessica worked as a seamstress for Cresco Manufacturing, and later in sales for Jim’s Shoes in Ashland, Family Pools, and Spas and retired from Amish Oak in 2010 after 12 years.

In her spare time, she took pleasure in camping, boating and fishing, reading, word puzzles, and most of all spending time with her grandkids. Jessica was also a member of the Perrysville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Douglas Schrader of Perrysville; her daughter Tammi (Mike) Carey of Loudonville; grandchildren Madison and Owen Carey; and her sister Pam (Cuco) Cabral; and several nieces and nephews. Jessica was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service in Jessica’s memory will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. Pastor Howdie Burnett will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery in Perrysville.

Contributions in Jessica’s memory to the Perrysville Baptist Church may be made at the funeral home or mailed to 118 S. Bridge Street, Perrysville, OH 44864.
