Jeffrey Norman “Jeff” Bell, age 55, of Sunbury, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 29th, 2019.

He was born January 5th, 1964 in Cleveland, OH, son of James F. and Mary Ann (Owad) Bell.

Jeff was a 1982 graduate of Big Walnut High School, and was employed by the Mettler Toledo Corporation for 35 years as a Field Service Technician.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Jeff was a member of the National Rifle Association, and also enjoyed four-wheeling with his cousins. He was quite the craftsman and handyman, doing custom wood scroll work, particularly on firearm stocks. Jeff also loved vacationing in Cancun, Mexico.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Mary Ann, Sunbury; brother Jim, Titusville, FL; Aunt Joann Lunar, Cleveland; Uncle William Owad, Westlake; and many cousins. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Jeff’s manager, Mark Korzenko, and close friend Russell “Rusty” Godby, who both helped Jeff through many difficult days. Jeff was preceded in death by his father James.

Friends may call Saturday, August 3rd from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. St. Rt. 61 at St. 3 in Sunbury, where a Memorial service celebrating Jeff’s life will immediately follow, officiated by Pastor Larry DeWitt.

    I worked with Jeff for many years, from Toledo Scale to Mettler Toledo. Jeff was a kind, funny, talented person. I’ll always remember riding with Jeff in his pickup on our way to a new distribution center location – with the HP3000 in the back. We all arrived safely!
