Jeanne G. Kalina, 88, of Delaware passed away Saturday morning April 23, 2016 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.

She was born April 14, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Edward and Anna (Benzin) Guenther. She had worked as an administrative assistant for York International in Lorain and was a Delaware resident for the past 19 years.

Jeanne was an avid reader and loved to shop, work crossword puzzles and do calligraphy. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters Karin (Tom) Kohls of Delaware and Kim (Tom) Jasinski of Lexington, Kentucky; four grandchildren Aimee, Kyle (Lindsey) and Paul (Emily) Jasinski and Kaitlin Kohls; four great grandchildren Connor, Cate, Macie and Landon.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of over 47 years William “Bill” Kalina and her brother Leroy Guenther.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 28, 2016 at 1:30 pm at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Contributions in Jeanne’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Disabled American Veterans.
