Jean R. Lehner, age 67, of Mansfield and formerly of Galion, died Friday morning, June 15, 2012, at the MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield following a brief illness.

On May 19, 1945, Jean was born in Galion, Ohio, the fourth of five children of the late Paul Floyd and Ruth Elizabeth (Garverick) Finical. A lifelong resident of Galion, she graduated from Galion High School.

A loving homemaker, Jean took pride in caring for her family. She was especially there for her mother, caring for her till her final day. She also cherished every moment she spent with her beloved grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her three children: James (Lynn) Lehner of Tiro, Ohio, John (Annette) Lehner of Mansfield, and Jamie (Mike) Jakel of Abbotsford, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; three siblings: Paul “Bill” (Janet) Finical of Tabor City, North Carolina, Jackie (Gerald) Breem of Newville, Pennsylvania, and Joan (Frank) Ventrone of Bucyrus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Including her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Bailey; and by her former husband, Jim Lehner.

The Lehner family will greet friends from 5 – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead. Services paying tribute to her life will follow at 6:00 p.m., with Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to her family to assist with unexpected expenses, and they may be sent to the care of the funeral home.
