Jean A. Gilmore

January 18, 1938 ‒ May 11, 2019

Fredericktown, Ohio

Our loving mother, Jean A. (Breece) Gilmore, age 81, of Gilmore Road, Fredericktown, was reunited with her loving husband Kenneth J. Gilmore and parents Steril and Blanche Breece on May 11, 2019 following a brief and unexpected illness.  She was surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was born January 18, 1938 in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in the garden with her father-in-law.  They would plant enough vegetables to feed the family during the season plus can enough to last through winter season.  Jean also worked at Gilmore’s Auction House, she would clerk the nightly sale bid winners.   She did this until her husband retired from the business.

Jean enjoyed going out to eat and spending one on one time with each family.  She also enjoyed working on word search puzzles.  In her earlier years she enjoyed going to garage sales, camping, fishing, and going on her yearly vacation to Canada.  But her all time favorite thing to do was spending time with her family.

Jean is survived by her sister, Joan (Breece) Algire of Mount Vernon; daughter, Ginger (Doug) Lester of Fredericktown; two sons, Keith (Jodi) Gilmore of Fredericktown, Jason Gilmore of Mount Vernon; four granddaughters, Jessica Lester, Jenna (Mathew) Boudinot, Justine Lester all of Fredericktown; Kayla Gilmore of Mount Vernon; six great-grandchildren, Bill Coss, Preston Coss, Gracie Lester, Haley Lester, Kinsley Streby, Addysin Boudinot all of Fredericktown; nieces and other family.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Gilmore and Parents, Steril and Blanche Breece.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 12-3 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, 33 East College Street, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019. The family will observe a private graveside service in Owl Creek Cemetery in Ankenytown, with Pastor Kenneth Springer officiating.
