Jaunita “Sally” Weyrick

E. Juanita “Sally” Weyrick, age 84 of Marengo passed away Sunday morning, January 15, 2006 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
She was born on December 28, 1921 in Essex, Ohio to the late Emmett F. and Naomi V. (Sanders) Crissinger. A graduate of Marengo High School Class of 1938, a resident of Marengo until 1985, when she retired to Zephyrhills, Florida and returned to Marengo in 2004.
A proud wife and mother, she worked as a stenographer for HPM Corp in Mt. Gilead, served as the Clerk of Marengo for 7 years, and was a rural route carrier and Marengo Post Master until 1981. She was a former pianist, Sunday school teacher and member of the Marengo United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She was also a member and pianist for the former Pythian Sisters of Marengo. A former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post #710, she was also a former assistant leader of the Busy Bees 4-H Club in Marengo. Sally enjoyed music, loved to play the piano, and knitting dishrags was her favorite pastime.
She is survived by Daughters: Gay Eastridge of Mt. Gilead, Sally Ann Harris of Centerburg, Grandchildren: Kristen, Cody, Shonda Eastridge, Sonia (Vince) Brown, Teresa (Tim) Belcher, Sheila (Ron) Lowe, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great-Grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years: Jay Weyrick on June 2, 2005, they were married on May 17, 1941 in Marengo and a Sister: Helen L. Maness died in 1987.
Friends may call Tuesday 4-7 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 229, Marengo, where services will be held Wednesday 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Beverly Hall officiating, burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery near Sparta.
