James “Jim” Waulk, age 71 of Marengo, died Friday afternoon June 13, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 16, 1943 in Blacklick, Ohio to the late George and Mildred (Powell) Waulk. He was a 1961 graduate of Coalton High School and a US Naval Veteran. He had worked for Lennox as an assembler with 30 years of service and was Owner of Mount Vernon Comfort Air for 15 years.
Jim loved his family and was a good provider for them. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, model airplanes and working on his 1939 Packard.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Erma (Schau) Waulk and they were married November 20, 1965 in Columbus; sons: Randy (Freda) Waulk of Sparta, Michael (Debbie) Waulk of Grove City, James A. Waulk of Mount Vernon; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother: Max (Connie) Goheen of Mount Vernon; sisters: Elizabeth Goheen of Jackson, Wanda Humphreys of Jackson.
Friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 73 W. Walnut, Marengo were services will follow at 1 p.m. with Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating. Interment in the Bloomfield Cemetery with military honors provided by the Morrow County Joint Veterans Association.
