  • Jim was a friend from my first days in grade school at St. Vincent. We were not all that close but he was always fun to be around. After being out of touch for many years he was just as warm and friendly as ever. He was a really good guy.
Breakfast at the diner won’t be quite the same from now on.
    Please accept my sincere condolences.

  • My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I will always remember his kindness and sense of humor. Love you all.

  • Aunt Mary and Family,
It is with a very heavy heart that I write this. We were so very sorry to hear about Uncle Jim. I hope that through the sadness you can find laughter because every time I saw Uncle Jim, he was always laughing and had that big smile across his face. What a kind hearted soul. Heaven sure got a “special angel” last night.
Please know that we have all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
    We love you all.

  • Mary,
Jim was a special person. Not only to me, but to so many he knew. He was as wise as he was kind. He was the best friend when you needed him and was that voice of reason when he knew you needed help. I look at Jim as the perfect mentor. He was as much as a father figure as he was a friend. I know a bit if Jim will live on in all of us he touched. I will miss my friend and will never forget the times we shared. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Although he lost his own father at a very young age he became a man we know his dad was very, very proud of. Our prayers and wishes go to his wonderful family for peace and healing.

  • Our father worked for Jim’s dad many years ago. We spent our early childhood years growing up in Mt Vernon and visiting with the Schlairet family on several occasions. I have fond memories of Jim and always thought of him as a very kind and giving soul. My heart goes out to all of his family. May you find peace knowing he has gone home to the lord.
