LEXINGTON: James Michael “Mike” DeVine, age 75 of Lexington, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 in his home following a long illness.

He was born January 1, 1938 in Shelby the son of James Michael DeVine, Sr. and Eleanor (Ealy) DeVine.

Mike worked for over 25 years at Therm-O-Disc as a machine operator and also at Hartman Electric and Brant Distributing.

He is survived by three children and their spouses David John and Beth Ann DeVine of Columbus, Linda Marie and Steven Robertson of Kernersville, NC, and Julie Ann and Tim Stillion of Lexington; six grandchildren and their spouses David Michael and Ellen DeVine of Yuma, AZ, Erin Michelle DeVine of Powell, Brittany Leigh Lawrence of TN, Zachary Alexander Robertson of Kernersville, NC, and Bailey Quinn and Abby Marie Stillion of Lexington; siblings Dennis DeVine of FL, Judy and John Riley of Lucas, and Vickie and Bob Fischer of Shelby, and the mother of his children Corrine Faye “Cookie” and Dennis Grassel of Mansfield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Terry DeVine and grandson-in-law Joshua Lawrence.

Friends may call Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 4-7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
