James F. Carpenter

James F. “Peanut” Carpenter, age 69, of Chadwick Rd., Gambier, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born on November 5, 1941 in Coshocton to the late James and Esther (Smalley) Carpenter. Jim received his engineering degree from Franklin University. He was employed as an engineer for Pretty Products in Coshocton. He later worked for C.L. Richert Trucking from which he retired after 30 years of service. In 1986 Jim and his wife started Bear Run Kennel raising and breeding Plott Hounds for showing and hunting. Jim was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose here in Mount Vernon and enjoyed hunting and camping but he truly loved trucking.
He is survived by his wife, of over 21 years, Jacqueline (Perkins) Carpenter; two daughters, Carrie (Kevin) Davis of Fredericktown, Amanda (Tyler) Hains of Coshocton; three sons, Chris (Heather) Mullinnex of Perrysville, Jim (Rana) Carpenter of Coshocton, Chris Carpenter of Coshocton; twelve grandchildren and his sister Sherry (Bob) Wright.
There will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private graveside service at a later date.
