James A. “Jim” Roush, age 68 formerly of Prospect died Thursday – August 1, 2002 at Wintersong Village Care Center, following an extended illness.

He was born on March 15, 1934 in Hartford, West Virginia. Jim moved to Prospect over 20 years ago from Magnetic Springs. He worked 29 years as a drag line operator for Shelly Company in Prospect and then as a dock worker for the Nickles Bakery in Marion.

Survived by his wife of 29 years: Ann (Knight) Roush, Children: Marilyn (Jimmy) Smith of Mansfield, Vickie D. (Paul) Smith of Columbus, Carol (Mike) Converse of Delaware, Jim (Donna) Roush of Marengo, Anthony (Angie) Roush of Chesterville, Ed (Novona) Haller of Delaware, James A. Roush of Prospect, Chera Roush of Marion, 22 Grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren, Sister: Emma Sams of Albany, Ohio.

Proceeded in death by Daughter: Carolyn Hutchins, Grandson: Michael R. Converse Jr., 10 Brothers, and 1 Sister.

Friends may call Monday 6 – 8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware, where funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m., Pastor Randy Runyon officiating. Burial will follow in Galena Cemetery.
