J. Michael Quinn, age 71, of Fredericktown, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by loving family. He was born on November 16, 1942 in New Lexington, Perry County, Ohio to the late Frank and Mildred (Ricketts) Quinn.

Mike was employed at Capital Savings and Loan/Beneficial Corporation from 1965 to1991 and the City of Mount Vernon from 1992 to 2001. He was a proud member of the armed forces (Army) and served his country in the Vietnam Conflict. Mike was a member of the Thrall Lodge #170, F & AM, and past Lions club, Sertoma of Fredericktown. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds.

He is survived by his wife Mary (Seaburn) Quinn; two sons, Brian (Tricia) Quinn of Lewis Center, OH., and Christopher M. (Juli) Quinn of Costa Mesa, CA; two grandchildren, Clayton Quinn and Alexa Quinn; two brothers, Charles (Mildred) Quinn of New Lexington, OH and Joseph (Mary) of New Lexington, OH; sister in law, Emma Quinn of Somerset, OH; brothers in laws, Jim Butler of Roseville, OH and Ralph Ferry of New Port Richey, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Mike is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and William Quinn; four sisters, Iwildia Ferry, Margaret Quinn, Dorothy Butler and Patricia Juzwiak.

The family would like to thank the many friends and doctors who assisted and supported Mike the last few months including the families of Donald Falk, William Cline, Jeff Cochran, Gary Alverson, and the caregivers from the Hospice of Knox County.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Mike Quinn, will take place at a later date.
