Ida E. Detwiler, 96, formerly of North Boundary Street, Edison, Ohio died Sunday, January 05, 2003 in Woodside Village.
She was a lifelong Morrow County resident, born in Fulton on November 21, 1906, the daughter of the late Broc and Adda Garner Edgell. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1924. She worked as a school cook and for the Union Department Store in Mt. Gilead until retiring. She was a member of the Edison United Methodist Church.
She is survived by Harold (Susan) Detwiler of Marion, OH, and Kenneth (Rosalyn) Detwiler of Holyoke, CO; a daughter Wanda Cover of Kissimmee, FL; 7 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Her husband Burr E. Detwiler, whom she married May 21, 1934, preceded her in death on July 7, 1960. A son Earl D. Detwiler, two brother’s Ralph and Russell Edgell and three sisters Mildred Packer, Geneva Williams and Leona Horn also preceded her in death.
