Harry G. Saxton
November 19, 1925 ‒ April 11, 2007
BELLVILLE: Harry G. Saxton, 81, of State Route 97, East, died Wednesday morning April 11, 2007 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a fourteen-month illness.
He went to meet his Lord and Savior, quietly surrounded by his family.
He now has a full perfect new body in Christ, “Therefore, if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away, all things become new.” II Cor. 5:17
“Our family chain is now broken, nothing seems the same, but as God calls one by one our family chain will link again.”
He was born November 19, 1925 in Penn, PA, to William Earl and Bessie Mae (Lusebrink) Saxton, and was graduated from Greensburg (PA) High School in 1944.
Harry owned and operated Richland Sales Company, specializing in structural steel, metal roof decks and accordion doors, for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1989.
A gifted jazz pianist, Harry favored music by Glenn Miller and the big band era, and also enjoyed camping in real style in his motor home, and the company of his canine Yorkie Fred.
Harry will be greatly missed as there will never be another man like him…he was a man of integrity!
He is survived by his wife Irene (Frederickson) Saxton, whom he married October 30, 1946; sons and a daughter-in-law David Saxton of Columbus, the Rev. Bob and Tina Saxton of Mansfield, and Tom Saxton of Bellville; grandchildren Julie Schoch, Mindy Miller, Jason Saxton, Allissa Mustin, Sara Saxton, Jacob Saxton and Emily Saxton; and seven great grandchildren.
The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is serving the family. Arrangements, including burial in Bellville Cemetery, will be held at their convenience.
