Harry Arnold Andrews, 86, of Delaware died early Friday morning at his residence. He was born September 26, 1920 in Mt. Gilead, Ohio to Harry Andrews and Mary (nee McFarland) Andrews. A World War II Army veteran, he retired from Ranco Manufacturing as a press operator and was a lifelong Delaware resident. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church and life member of the AmVets Post #104, both of Delaware. He is survived by his wife, Norma (nee Evans); 3 sons, Eddie of Marysville, Johnnie (Melissa) and Ronnie of Delaware; daughter, Peggy (Ed) Clark of Delaware; 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Virginia Jones of Delaware and Frieda Tate of Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son at infancy, 2 brothers Thurman and Gerard Andrews, and 2 sisters Mildred Andrews and Marie Jones. The family will receive friends on Monday February 19th from 11:00 am until time of services at 1:00 pm at the Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church, 230 Hayes Street, Delaware with Pastor Wayne Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Oller Cemetery with the Delaware County Veterans Association providing military honors.
