  • I feel especially blessed that I got to witness Guy in church! There’s absolutely no doubt about how much Guy loved The Lord! Hugs and prayers being sent to the family & friends that are going to miss him so!

  • My heart was sad to hear of Guys passing. For several years he was my “dating chaperone “ when we lived in Bloomfield. Needless to say, that was quite the experience. And I wonder if Junior ever knew where Guy put all of the farm boots:) I am sure he did not know, or Guy may not have made it to 67….Guy was always so happy and ready to laugh. Words cannot express the special love I had for him. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this time and always! Much love and peace to all of you.

  • Guy faithfully attended the Nazarene Church in Cardington every Sunday. He would often play his banjo and sing for us…always with a hint of “bluegrass” and dancing with his music. He loved the stage, would get excited with the music, and often join our music leader to help lead us in worship…and always taking his bow and shaking hands on the way back to his seat. Guy really knew how to worship the LORD! Our loss is certainly heaven’s gain. He will be greatly missed.
I grew up in Bloomfield and know he was raised by a good and loving family. Our condolences to you all.

  • We’re so sorry for your loss. God must have needed another Angel. Your families are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you all.

  • Thinking of you all in your time of loss. Guy always put a smile on every face he saw. Prayers for you all.

  • I can’t begin to express how sad this makes me……for me. No doubt, he is in heaven now, in perfect form. He was childlike, and ushered in the Holy Spirit many times in our church. I’ve told people many times, that he didn’t have too many words, but he could say HALLELUAH loud and clear! He was my friend, and will be missed.

  • Although I was only around Guy once or twice, I will always have fond memories of dancing with him at Zac and Laurel’s wedding. He was a regular Fred Astaire!

My family and I send our deepest sympathy for your loss.

  • I was very fortunate to know Guy through Whetstone! Heaven is getting one of the “best”! Guy was a sweetheart to say the least. RIP, Guy!

  • Thoughts and prayers for family and friends. Had great fun at the bluegrass festivals at Altizer’s Rocky Top. Guy loved the music and dancing. Happy memories. Love your old friend Tina Calkins Smith
