Gregory “Greg” Phelps, age 43, of Delaware, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening. He was born March 20, 1963 in Delaware to Harvey and Carrie (Adkins) Phelps. A lifelong Delaware resident, he graduated from Buckeye Valley High School with the class of 1981. He was an accomplished musician and songwriter and gave lessons on how to play the guitar. He loved all types of music and was especially close to his family. He is survived by his mother Carrie, his daughter Stephanie, brothers Wayne (Karen), Keith (Sheryl), all of Delaware, Harvey Kevin (Lola) of Marengo, Jeff (Helen) of Ostrander. He is also survived by sisters Linda (Don) Patrick, Faith Ann (Bill) Richardson, Beverly Beam, Wyvetta Davenport, Milissa (David) Hilt, all of Delaware, Elaine (Brad) Wilson of Lebanon, Ohio, Wyvonna (Kenny) Calhoun of Ostrander, Becky (Mark) Rucker of Cardington, Ella (Tony) Laudermilk of Chattanooga, Tn., numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Harvey in 1997 and a sister Barbara Jean in her infancy. Friends will be received at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Bennett Brown Delaware Chappel, 1510 W. William St. Delaware, Ohio 43015 on Friday from 4-8 pm where Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am with interment in Marlboro Cemetery.
