  • Laurel, Peter and Family:

I remember – your mother was such a lovely person, inside and out.

I remember – your mother was a childhood friend of my mother, Esther Duncan Gordon, and her sister, Henrietta Duncan Zeigler. (As teens, my mother and aunt had worked during summers on the Bumenschenkel farm in East Mansfield. (Your mother’s uncle, I think.)

I remember – your mother and her young family attending Grace Church with our family. (I noticed the picture of Rev. Peard in the lovely memorial video.)

I remember – your mother as a very kind, caring, patient and excellent teacher at Eastview School and I was fortunate that she was willing to mentor me in my first year of teaching there.

I remember – your mother as a very special lady who will be sadly missed.

  • My condolences to the family. Mrs Dunkle was such a special lady. We attended Grace Episcopal with her for many years and she was always the sweetest, kindest and classiest lady. She was also one of our oldest son, Scott’s, favorite teachers and she ALWAYS asked how he was and what he was doing.
So sorry for the loss of this special lady.

  • Gerry was a lovely person I always enjoyed visiting with her and talking with her . Her daughter Laurel and I are best cousins . My best memory was Al sitting in the kitchen and telling me Who rattled your chain? And I told him missing links….from then on I was known as missing links. Much love to all the family
