Gerald L.  “Jerry” Marti, 69, of Mount Vernon died Monday, April 2, 2018 at home.  He was born in Mount Vernon on April 7, 1948 to the late Louis and Eloise (Page) Marti.

Jerry was a retired Mason Tender for the Laborers International Union, Local 1216 in Mansfield. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and mushroom hunting.

Jerry is survived by his son, James (Angie Mickley) Marti of Mount Vernon; grandsons, Alex Marti of Mount Vernon and Korey Marti of Mount Vernon; sisters, Judy (Darrell) Keener of Utica and Kim (Paul McGough) Peck of Mount Vernon; brother, Rick (Mary) Marti of Bellville; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Patti” (Jones) Marti on June 16, 2004; a son, Gerald R. “Gary” Marti on July 24, 2016; and a brother-in-law, Danny Peck on March 27, 2006.

The family will observe a private service.   Jerry will be laid to rest beside his wife, Patti in Mound View Cemetery.
