Geneva Jane Parker, age 89, of Mount Vernon, died Thursday February 3, 2005 at the Country Club Retirement Center in Mount Vernon. Geneva was born June 7, 1915 in Kokomo, Indiana to Guy Rivers Henry and Vona Jane (Henninger) Henry.
She was a former employee of the Union Carbide Company.
Surviving are her daughters Barbara Colby of Mount Vernon and Margaret (Randall) Riddle of Everett, Washington; four grandchildren Anita Jane Rosario of Orlando, Florida, Patricia Gombar of Muskeogan, Michigan, David Colby of Acworth, Georgia and Daniel Colby of Mount Vernon; and five great grandchildren Christopher and Stephan Rosario, Drew Hubbard, Joshua Gombar and Anita Paqulin. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Beulah Stevens.
There will be no calling hours. The family will observe private services.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the activity fund at Country Club Retirement Center, 1350 Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
