Gary Elton Wallace III, “Little Gary”, age 20, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 25, 2005.
He was born in Westerville, Ohio on October 18, 1985 to Gary II and Tammy (Lehman) Wallace of Sunbury. Gary graduated from Big Walnut High School Class of 2005.
Gary worked for Boyd’s Goodyear Tire Company as a mechanic in Westerville for the past year.
Full of life and fun loving in nature, Gary will be remembered for the many fun times he shared with family and friends. He found great joy in golfing, fishing, and playing poker. Another passion of his was hunting; tagging his first deer at the age of 14.
Gary always greeted you with a hug and said goodbye with an “I Love You,” leaving everyone with a smile. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and his canine companion and best friend: Ace.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his younger Sister: Lindsey Wallace, Maternal Grandparents: Dallas (Sharon) Lehman of Sunbury, Paternal Grandparents: Kay (Bernie) Starkey of Mt. Vernon, Step-Paternal Grandparent: Shirley Wallace of Gallipolis, Great-Grandmothers: Wanda Hill of Jackson, and Mary Lehman of Columbus, Great-Grandparents: William and Vernina Starkey of Sunbury, Step-Grandfather: John Monroe of Johnstown, Great-Great Grandmother: Agnes Henderson of Gallipolis, Aunt: Susie Lehman of Fort Myers, Florida, Uncles: Mark (Carla) Starkey of Croton, Chris (Stephanie) Starkey and Darin (Tricia) Starkey both of Mt. Vernon, Chad (Rachel) Wallace and Steve (Sandy) Henderson both of Gallipolis, many Great Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather; Gary E. Wallace I, Great-Grandparents: Robert Hill, Alonzo Lehman, Eleanor and Kenneth McClelland.
The family will greet friends on Friday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, (SR3 at 61), Sunbury. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Rd. (SR 3), Westerville, with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating. Burial will follow at Sunbury Memorial Park.
