Frank O. O’Brien, age 80, of W. Vine Street, Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on October 3, 1931 in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Frank retired in 1978 from Pittsburgh Plate Glass and owned and operated Frank O’Brien Television Repair shop. He held a private pilot’s license and enjoyed watching kick boxing and professional wrestling. Frank coached many years in the Mount Vernon Little League and enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Robert O’Brien of Mount Vernon, Ronda O’Brien of Nashville, Tennessee and Roger O’Brien of Mount Vernon, a granddaughter, Ronda O’Brien, two great grandchildren, Abbey Wittman and Jazzlynn Wittman, two half-sisters, Helen Lober and Beverly Jones both of Mount Vernon.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances O’Brien, his mother, Eva O’Brien, a great granddaughter, Bella Wittman and a half-brother, Sammy Cline.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. The family will observe a private graveside service.
