Francis Dwight “Tony” Predmore, 91, of Columbus and formerly of Morrow County, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 at First Community Village in Columbus.

Born Apr. 13, 1922 in Marion, he was the son of the late Dennis Kennelly Predmore and Clara E. Shuey Predmore. He married Dorthy M. Poast Predmore on Aug.13, 1942 and she survives.

He was a 1941 graduate of Iberia High School and served in the United States Army in the European Theatre during World War II. He retired from HPM in Mt. Gilead where he worked in shipping and receiving. Tony liked to drive Malibu style race cars and belonged to the Upper Arlington Senior Center’s Malibu Racing Team. He was a good golfer, loved sports, coached Little League baseball and was active in Northmor High School Boosters Club. He liked music, dancing and was a member of the Farm Bureau and West Point Community Club.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters, Suzanne David Fisher of Columbus, Janet Tim Tron of Marion and Carol Burgett of Westerville; two sons, Ronald Predmore of Atlanta and Donald Judy Predmore of Johnstown; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Raymond Odell Predmore of rural Galion.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Grace Ellen.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013 at Iberia Presbyterian Church where services will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gerald D. Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.

Full military graveside honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Galion/Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
