Evelyn I. Barrick, age 86 of Croton, died Wednesday afternoon January 21, 2004 at Bennington Glen Nursing Center in Marengo.

She was born in Marengo on April 9, 1917 to the late Chauncey D. and Loetta B. (Wise) Babcock. She was a former Avon representative, farmer and homemaker. Baptized in the Croton United Methodist Church. Member of AMVETS Post #57, Centerburg, School Land Church Ladies Aid, Licking County Pony Breeders Assoc and Licking County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, bowling, playing cards and bingo.

She is survived by Son: Rodney Barrick of Sunbury; Daughters: Kathleen (Donald) McCracken of Centerburg, Marlene Robbins of Sunbury, Ronda (Dennis) Seligman of Croton and Connie (Steve) Fetch of Sunbury. 11 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, 5 Step Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild.

Several Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by her Husband: Samuel O. Barrick on February 10, 1971. Infant Son: Ronald in 1951; Grandson: Matthew Barrick, Great Grandson: Edmond Robbins II, Great Granddaughter: Mary K. Butt. 2 Brothers: Vaughn and William Babcock; 4 Sisters: Florence Hart, Frona Manross, Isabel Hardman and Mary Alice McCarty.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Monday 11 a.m. with Rev. Brian Dunham officiating, Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery.
