Ethel Lee, 94, of Mansfield passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Crystal Care Nursing Home.

The daughter of James and Elizabeth (Salyers) Lee, Ethel was born July 1, 1921 in Knott County, Kentucky and moved to Mansfield in 1943.

For 16 years she worked as a cook for Community Action Headstart.

She attended Hannah Road Church of God.  Ethel enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and word search puzzles.

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Miles, John, Evan, Eskiel, David, Samuel, and Everett Lee and her sisters Sally Saunders and Amanda Morgan.

Ethel’s family will receive friends Monday, January 18, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home Finefrock Chapel with a funeral service on Tuesday at 11 a.m.  Pastor’s Ferlie Yates and Floyd Scaggs will officiate and burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hannah Road Church of God may be made through the funeral home.

  • Aunt Ethel you will be missed but there are so many good memories I haven’t seen u on awhile but o those memories are there the memories of you eck and doc coming over to our house on steltz I would see your van coming down the road and always put a smile on my face. Even now I have a smile on my face just knowing you are going to be with the ones you so dearly miss say hello to all up there and give my grandpa even a big hug and kiss for me love you unit we see again

  • Aunt Ethel haven’t seen you in years but have fond memories of sitting on the porch swing. You, Doc and Ek was always so funny. You will be missed. God got another special person.
