Ella Mae Freiley, age 86, of Marion, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, April 25, 2015, at Marion General Hospital.

She was born on January 11, 1929 in Haysi, VA, to the late Arch and Zella (Davis) Rose. On November 7, 1957, Ella Mae married Jess Freiley whom preceded her in death in 1975.

Ella Mae was a caring and generous soul. She loved being a wife, mother, and friend who protected and nurtured her family and was always willing to help those in need. A woman of faith, she attended the Lighthouse of Prayer for many years. Ella Mae enjoyed spending her time doing crosswords, puzzles, bingo, and most importantly time with her family. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

She will be dearly missed by her sons: Paul and Jack Freiley of Marion; daughter, Patti Edgecomb of Cadillac, MI; grandchildren: Jesse Freiley, Jackie (Reece) Oriens, Jamie (Derek) Manning, Bryon Cates, and Nathan Edgecomb; a great granddaughter, Tesla Oriens; sister, Madeline Robinson; brothers: Bill, Jack, and Lacy Rose.

Ella Mae was preceded in death by her husband; brothers: James, Ken, and Cameron Rose; and Bobby Noel.

Her family will greet friends from 1 to 2 PM, on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger and Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. A service celebrating her life will follow at 2 PM with Brother Ed Shepherd officiating.
