Elizabeth G. “Betty” Fraser, 80, of Galion passed away Tuesday evening, December 16, 2014 after an extended illness at the Galion Community Hospital.

Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, Derek E. Fraser who she married on March 21, 1953.
She is also survived by her children, David (Terri) Fraser of Ostrander, Jane Fraser of Northwood, Simon (Carmen) Fraser of Mansfield and Christine (Joe) Ward of Vero Beach, Fla.; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother John (Katie) Woods of Paiscey, Scotland; sister Rita Wakefield of Seven Hills, Australia.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Shirley Loyer.

She and her husband moved to Galion in 1967. Betty was a member of the Galion Hospital Auxiliary TWIG #1 for many years.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life in their Galion home during Christmas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
