Eleanor “Mickey” Duston, age 85, of Chesterville, passed away Friday morning, December 23, 2016, at Morrow Manor Nursing Center.

On October 6, 1931, Mickey was born in Delaware, OH, the daughter of the late George E. and Sara (Moore) Stevens.

Mickey married Dale F. Duston on August 1, 1947.  They shared almost 60 years together as husband and wife before he preceded her in death on February 15, 2008.

Mickey was a homemaker for a majority of her life while her children grew up.  Later in life she worked as a nurse’s aide at Morrow Manor Nursing Center.

A woman of faith, she was a long time member at the Harmony Chapel United Methodist Church.

Mickey loved bowling in leagues in Knox County, and was the secretary of the Knox County Bowling Association for many years.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting and crocheting, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and camping.

Mickey is survived by her three children: Judy (Dennis) Garverick of Galion, Laura Sizemore of Chesterville, Randy (Pam) Duston of Westminster, CA; five grandchildren: Michelle, Josh, Jeff, Stephanie, Megan; and six great grandchildren: James, Shelby, Daulton, Nolan, Madison and Brooklyn.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nicole; 4 brothers; and 5 sisters.

Graveside services to honor her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at North Fork Cemetery, 7416 County Road 22, Fredericktown, OH 43019, with Rev. Dr. Irene Scaramazza officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 112 Harcourt Road, Suite 3, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
