Edith Doris Vossers

Edith Doris Vossers, 84, of 9430 Township Road 36, Galion, died Monday, June 14, 2004 at Morrow County Hospital, Mt. Gilead, after a long illness.
Born May 26, 1920 in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Charles Manring and Zoa Lohr Manring. She was preceded in death on May 31, 1995 by her husband, Francis Vossers whom she married on December 3, 1940.
She was a graduate of Martel High School, Martel.
She is a member of First United Church of Christ, Galion. She was a rug weaver and a volunteer for Iberia Rescue Squad for many years and Crawford County Contact in Bucyrus.
She was a homemaker and retired from Galion Iron Works where she took care of their Guest House for 22 years.
Surviving are two grandsons, Brian Vossers and Karen and Mark and Mary Vossers, of Galion; three great grandchildren, Luke Vossers, Kyle Vossers and Kendra Justice; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Winnie Manring, of Bucyrus and Charles “Bud” and Geneva Manring, of Galion and a sister and brother-in-law, Ethel J. and Howard Sulser, of Galion.
She was preceded in death by a son, Francis Keith Vossers; a brother, Robert Manring and a sister, Thelma Manring.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 17, with Rev. Samuel J. Buehrer officiating. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Iberia Youth Baseball.
