Earl W. “Bill” Brobst Jr., age 82, of Delaware passed away Thursday afternoon, January 6, 2005 at his residence.

He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on February 7, 1922 to the late Earl W. and Bertha (Friedley) Brobst Sr. Bill was an army veteran of WWII, where he served as a heavy equipment operator. He retired from the City of Columbus, Street Maintenance Department, as an inspector. He was a member of the Rural Chapel United Methodist Church and of the York Lodge F. & A.M. No. 563. Also, he was a charter member and past president of V. F. W. post 495. Bill enjoyed fishing and golfing.

He is survived by special Children; Sam (Gennie) Brobst of Gahanna and Jan (Husband Jan) Rozanski of Dublin, Grandchildren; Jason and Michelle Brobst, Brent Walton, Terri Shirey, and Cindy Souders, and former wife; Fauntabelle Hines of Dublin. Other children; Sarah Wagner and Billie K. Wallace.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Rosemary Brobst, Brother; Clyde Alexander, and Sister; Sally Tedrow.

Friends may call Monday from 2 – 4 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 36, Delaware, where funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Chaplain David Sedziol officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice at Grady Memorial Hospital, 561 W. Central Ave., Delaware, Ohio 43015.
