Earl D. Jordan, Sr.

MANSFIELD: Earl D. Jordan, Sr., 96, of Haywood Drive, Mansfield, died Sunday morning October 19, 2003, in his home.
He was born August 28, 1907 in Luhrig, to William R. and Anna McCaskey Jordan and moved to Mansfield in 1926.
Earl was married to Blanche Thomas, his beloved wife of 72 years, on November 19, 1929.
He was a member of Ontario Free Methodist Church.
Mr. Jordan, an electrician, worked for Empire Steel, Martin Steel, General Motors, and retired from The Mansfield Tire & Rubber Company.
In retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling, with his wife, in their motor home.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Margaret Jordan of Ontario, and Earl, Jr. and Nancie Jordan of Mansfield; two daughters Norma Jean Douville of Mansfield and Dorothy Ann Algire of Sebring, Florida; twelve grandchildren, Rick Jordan, Diane Gerhart, Theresa Cruse, Greg Douville, Cindy Kriner, Steve Douville, Susie Fanello, Tim Douville, Michael Chuhaloff, Mark Chuhaloff, Scott Chuhaloff, and Steve Chuhaloff; 24 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his loving wife Blanche, he was preceded in death by fifteen brothers and sisters.
Friends may call Wednesday, October 22, 2003 from 5 to 7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 am. Pastor Bob Beaty will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to Ontario Free Methodist Church Building Fund may be made at the funeral home.
