Earl Beal

BELLVILLE: Earl Beal, 95, lifelong Bellville resident, passed away Thursday morning, February 23, 2017.

The son of Chester and Thelma (Burger) Beal, Earl was born July, 22, 1921 and graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1939.

On December 24, 1943 he married Irene Forsdyke in Owl Creek Church of the Brethren, in Ankenytown.

Hardworking, Earl was a dedicated employee for Westinghouse. Working as an accountant, he retired in 1986 after 47 years.  While at Westinghouse, Earl became a computer specialist and wrote long standing computer programs for the company.

Upon his retirement, he invested his time and energy into his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  A loving grandfather he proudly supported his grandchildren in school and sporting events.

Also upon retirement, Earl studied genealogy.  He devoted countless hours referencing his family’s history.

Earl attended New Life Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife Irene Beal of Bellville; sons Norman (Kathy) Beal and Steve (Sue) Beal both of Bellville; grandchildren Kurt Beal and Nancy (Jeff) Labaki all of Bellville, Stephanie Beal of Denver, Colorado and Kristine Beal of Bellville; great grandchildren Luke and Annika Labaki and Landon Beal; sister Norma Jean (Kenny) Armstrong of Fredericktown, brother Robert (Margaret) Beal of Hilliard; sister-in-law Joyce Lee (Wayne) Carlisle of Newark.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Erma Belle (Kenneth) Showalter; sister-in-law June (Alton) Ritchie.

The Beal family will receive friends, Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 11am – 1pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will begin at 1pm.  Pastor Steve Kistler will officiate and burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Hospice of North Central Ohio may be made through the funeral home.
